In a shocking incident reported from Shahjahanpur, a Class 9 student was gang-raped several times by six youths for last two years.

The accused had made obscene videos and clicked photographs of the student and were blackmailing her. The incident finally came to fore after the accused made this video viral on social media.

After receiving the objectionable video of her daughter, the father reached the police station with the student and filed a complaint, naming all the accused.

Police said that soon all the accused would be arrested. The victim was sent for medical examination.

According to reports, the girl’s mother is mentally unwell and lives in Mirzapur area of Shahjahanpur district. The victim has a younger brother and her father works outside the district.

Taking advantage of the family situation, accused Neeraj seduced the girl and raped her. Then he made an obscene video of her. After this, while blackmailing the girl, Neeraj’s relatives Pappu, Guddu, Satyam, Shivam and other youths also raped the girl. It is alleged that all the accused kept raping and sexually exploiting the girl for two years. When she protested, the accused got enraged and threatened to make her obscene video viral and kill her brother. The girl remained silent and tolerated everything.

When the accused posted the video on social media, her father came to know about his daughter’s ordeal. He contacted senior police officers on Saturday evening and demanded stern action in the matter.

On the orders of the superintendent of police, a case was registered against all the accused under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and rape charge.

Circle Officer of Jalalabad, Ajay Rai, said the matter was being investigated and stern action would be taken against the accused. He said raids were being conducted to arrest them.
