Exam malpractices & sale of jobs rampant under Congress: BJP

Sunday, 07 January 2024 | PNS | DEHRADUN

The Bharatiya Janata Party has termed the protest taken out by the Congress on the issue of unemployment, a drama. The BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan claimed that the State government under chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has provided more jobs in one year proportionately than the jobs provided in the past 22 years. On the other hand, the Congress has a bad track record whether it be malpractices in recruitment exams or bribery, he alleged.

Chauhan said that according to the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, during its one year term so far, the Dhami government has made 6,635 recruitments while 6,869 recruitments were made in the preceding 22 years. The examination results of 3,040 candidates have been announced so far while the examination results of 3,595 candidates are being prepared. “The Congress knows well how jobs were distributed in those times while the then government continued to protect corrupt practices. The Dhami government probed all recruitments irrespective of the period and the Special Investigation Team nabbed the corruption who were then sent to jail. The cases which were suppressed in the past were probed now and this revealed a major scam. The people have taught the Congress a lesson due to corruption. The Congress which earlier used to sell jobs is now pretending on the issue of jobs for the unemployed,” Chauhan opined.

The BJP State media in-charge further said that the Congress does not have the moral right to say anything on the subject of employment because it has always duped the youth.
