Maoist involved in killing villager held

A Maoist involved in killing a villager was arrested on Sunday in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh. Krishna Podiyam alias Shankar alias Boke was apprehended from Maksoli village, Narayanpur Additional Superintendent of Police Hemsagar Sidar said. He was the Bhatbeda Militia Deputy Commander of the outlawed Maoist group. He confessed his involvement in killing Komal Manjhi when the latter was returning from a temple in Chhote Dongar village on December 9. A Maoist aide involved in the killing was nabbed on December 23.
